The G-Unit G6 is officially back on the clock. According to Sneaker Freaker, Reebok is dropping a 1:1 retro of 50 Cent's 2003 silhouette on August 20, 2026, priced at $130 — and the timing reads like a deliberate flex.
The Blueprint Returns
The colorway is the original white/blue-red: grey suede toe cap, red/white/blue accents, silver "G-6" lace dubrae, tri-color heel tab, and "G-Unit" embroidered in blue on the lateral heel. Reebok branding sits on the tongue tag and heel, with the white sole carrying the "RBK" logo on the lateral side. Stock lands through Reebok and select retailers, both online and in-store.
This is the same shoe that, back in 2003, shared shelf space with Jay-Z's S. Carter under the Reebok roof — Fif has long claimed the G6 outsold the S. Carter six-to-one, at a time when Hov's pair was the fastest-selling model Reebok had. The partnership, per Complex, generated around $80 million at peak. "When we started selling shoes, the G-Unit shoes and Shawn Carter shoes, that was a response to losing the bidding war to LeBron," 50 told Big Boy in 2012. "I sold over $3.8 million [in] pairs of sneakers." That number still echoes through sneaker boardrooms.
The Leak That Started It
The reunion didn't come out of nowhere. Back in May, Tony Yayo and Uncle Murda spilled the news on their podcast The Real Report, well before official imagery dropped. 50's reaction, caught on camera: "I can't tell Yayo nothing." Peak G-Unit energy — you can't keep a secret in a crew that built itself on loyalty and loose lips in equal measure.
Fiddy had already been teasing the silhouette in 2024, spotted wearing pristine G6s in a promo video for his G-Unit tracksuit line. The 'heads noticed. The whispers carried. And now the early-2000s nostalgia wave gets its crown jewel.
The Real Barometer
The G-Unit G6 lands at a moment when retro silhouettes are doing more cultural work than half the new drops flooding the market. This isn't just a re-up — it's a 2003 time capsule priced under $150, from one of the earliest rappers to ever front his own signature shoe. Before Yeezy reshaped the game, before artist-athlete deals became standard, G-Unit was proving hip-hop could move units at sneaker-store scale.
Watch the sell-through. The original pairs vanished in days. If Reebok's allocation runs tight, the resale market will swallow this drop before the week ends — and that's how you measure whether this comeback is a flex or a footnote. Culture moves through every pipeline, and the entertainment signal is just as loud across the dial.
